Although Russ has been spending most of his time blowing glass, the past few years a returning interest in pottery has emerged. The process begins with a slab of clay that is then shaped by either using molds or free formed. Then, using stamps that Russ creates, the texture is created. The result is pottery that almost seems narrative through the use of allegorical shapes and images. Like all of Wandering Blue's pottery, this work is dishwasher,oven, and microwave safe.
Russ also does mosaic tile work that can be placed into a wall, framed or made into tables.
